Natalie Mack is a mom of five, retired Navy Chaplain’s wife, retired therapist, military home educator since 2001. She is the President of Fort Belvoir Home Educators, a soccer mom, and Scouts BSA Merit Badge Coordinator. Natalie owns Natalie Mack LLC and Bella Bling by Natalie(a Paparazzi Accessories Independent Consultant- link is tabbed under Fashion. Her passions travel, her alma mater- Spelman College, cooking/baking, languages, history and genealogy research. Additionally, she currently serves as the Military Community Outreach Coordinator for Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA).

She received a Masters in Education with a concentration in Community Counseling from The George Washington University in Washington DC and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from her beloved alma mater, Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She has over 10 yrs experience in counseling to include substance abuse, social work and group practice.

Hanging up her therapist shingle, she followed God’s lead to home educate her children in 2001.

Married to her high school sweetheart, retired Navy chaplain, Dr. LeRoy G. Mack, III, she has launched 4 of her five children to college and on to graduate school or professional careers.  Her oldest daughter, who is a Fulbright Global scholar, obtained her Master’s degree from George Washington University with a focus in International Education, and is currently working as an International Baccalaureate coordinator in Washington D.C. She is fluent in Mandarin and conversant in Russian. She has led 2 groups of high schoolers to summer study in China- to Beijing and Chengdu. Her second oldest, who was a D1 soccer athlete at Liberty University, completed her Master’s in Social Work at Howard University.  She was both a Howard University School of Social Work Founders Fellow and an American Evaluation Association GEDI fellow.  She currently works as a social worker and is a professional Futsal player. 

Her middle child is an Eagle Scout who graduated from American University School of International Service, majoring in International Relations and currently works for a nonprofit.

Her 4th child is a junior at George Mason University Honors College as a Bonner Scholar. Her youngest at home, is a current 10th grader, just recently licensed as a soccer youth referee and just ranked up to Life Scout. 

Natalie has founded and led military homeschooling groups throughout her homeschool journey to include Military Christian Homeschool Support (MCHS) at Little Creek/Fort Story in Virginia Beach, VA as well as Naples Christian Homeschoolers, overseas in Naples, Italy. She currently serves as President of Belvoir Home Educators in northern Virginia based at Fort Belvoir, VA.  Additionally, Natalie has been a leader of Protestant Women of the Chapel, a well-known Bible study ministry within military chapels. Natalie is also a writer for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, having written articles on military life and the sandwich generation. She is a frequent guest on podcasts, Facebook Lives and webinars and is passionate about speaking encouragement to homeschooling moms.
